Bombing Disposal
Gain hands-on experience with replicas, learning the precision and caution required in EOD work.

WORKSHOP - Limited to 12 guests

Oct 5, 2025 Oct 30, 2025

This workshop offers a rare behind-the-scenes look into the world of bomb disposal and safety. Facilitated by retired Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) experts and museum educators, participants will work with replicas and models to learn how bombs are identified, contained, and deactivated. Demonstrations explain the chemistry of explosives, the tools used in disposal, and the importance of extreme caution when handling such relics.

Because of the delicate subject matter, the workshop is capped at 12 participants per session, ensuring safety and focus. Each participant gets a chance to handle inert replicas, examine real fragments under magnification, and try documentation techniques used in field reports. The goal is to deepen appreciation for the hidden labor that keeps communities safe, while also demystifying the artifacts seen in the exhibition.
