Stories from the Rubble transforms the exhibition into a living memory space. Throughout the day, short storytelling sessions are held where museum staff read aloud excerpts from wartime memoirs, eyewitness accounts, and postwar newspapers describing the bombings of San Juan and Manila. These narratives are paired with projections of archival photographs—ruined streets, cratered buildings, and civilians rebuilding from the debris.
Visitors may drop in at any time; no registration is required. The event is designed to add human voices to the cold steel shells and fragments on display, helping audiences understand not only the destruction caused by the bombs but also the resilience of communities who lived through the devastation.
