“Battle Remembered” focused on the events of the Battle of San Juan del Monte, the first major encounter of the Philippine Revolution in 1896. The exhibition made use of the museum’s Virtual Reality Room to give visitors a clearer understanding of the setting, strategies, and participants involved in the battle.

Through immersive VR simulations, visitors could experience the sounds and sights of the conflict near the El Deposito reservoir. Narration combined excerpts from Katipunan writings, Spanish records, and local accounts, allowing audiences to see the event from multiple viewpoints.

In the Resource Center, the exhibition included reproductions of Katipunan documents, weapons, and models of the battlefield. Interactive screens allowed guests to follow the perspectives of different groups—revolutionaries, soldiers, and local residents—through the timeline of the day.

Public programs, including lectures and student forums, encouraged visitors to reflect on the meaning of the Revolution and the significance of the San Juan battle. By combining technology with archival material, “Battle Remembered” provided an accessible and engaging approach to a turning point in Philippine history.
