In this event, the gallery’s floor-sized reproductions of maps come alive as guides lead visitors through a literal walk across San Juan’s shifting geography. Participants can stand on the very outlines of the Carriedo Waterworks, trace their steps along the old aqueduct routes, and compare their positions with satellite images of the modern city. Facilitators highlight how the lines of streets, rivers, and boundaries reveal changes in governance and priorities over time.

The experience is designed to be participatory—visitors are encouraged to mark their own neighborhoods on transparent overlays, adding their stories to the evolving map. Families, students, and casual walk-ins alike can wander freely without the need for registration. Each step across the gallery floor becomes a journey through layers of time, reminding everyone that the spaces they inhabit today were once drawn and redrawn by different hands.
